The TFC2-1000 is not your typical carafe. It has an Open/Close switch and a pinch open top lid. With it's classic black and stainless steel finish and trusted Thermos Brand quality, it includes a stainless steel tea strainer that is also removable. The outside is cool to the touch even with steaming hot tea/coffee inside. It also includes a rubber bottom for safety to prevent slipping and sliding.
